Mission

United Way of the Piedmont connects, engages, and inspires people to transform our community. By advancing healthy community, youth opportunity, community resiliency, and financial security, United Way of the Piedmont mobilizes our region to action so all can thrive. We work side-by-side with the community to address big challenges like access to healthcare, student success, and financial security with local solutions. Whether we’re supporting parents, helping students thrive, or connecting someone to safe housing, our goal is simple: to make sure everyone has the opportunity to live a healthy, secure, and hopeful life.

By 2030, it is our goal to decrease the number of individuals living below self-sufficiency in Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union Counties by 11,000.

Goals

1.Decrease the number of individuals living below self-sufficiency in Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union Counties by 10%.
2.Decrease the number of cost-burdened low-income households by 10%.
3.Decrease the number of individuals living in poverty in our 3-county footprint who are unemployed by 75%.
